Kitchens drawn around the way you cook.
Custom kitchens in Solana Beach, Del Mar, Rancho Santa Fe, La Jolla, Encinitas, and Carlsbad. Cabinetry, stone, appliances, and lighting specified to the SKU before construction is priced.
A kitchen is a working room first. Where you prep. Where the appliances live. Where people gather while you cook. The aesthetic follows the function, not the other way around.
Most kitchen remodels start with a moodboard and end with a compromise. The cabinetry was the wrong wood. The stone wasn't held at the yard and was sold. The appliance package didn't match the layout. The lighting was bolted on after drywall.
We work backward from the way you'll actually use the room, and we specify every selection before the build is priced.
A kitchen has more moving parts per square foot than any other room in a home. Cabinetry, stone, appliances, lighting, plumbing fixtures, hardware, flooring, paint, ventilation, electrical, structural. Twelve trades, fifty decisions, one room.
What goes wrong in most kitchen projects isn't craftsmanship. It's specification. The cabinetry order goes in before the appliance package is locked, so the panel sizes don't match. The stone is selected from a swatch instead of held at the yard, so the slab you sign for isn't the slab that arrives. The lighting plan is drawn after framing, so the cans land in the wrong rows.
We specify everything during the Design Phase. The cabinet shop has elevations. The stone is on hold at the yard. The appliances are ordered against the layout. The lighting is wired before drywall, not after. By the time construction starts, the room is already drawn, ordered, and scheduled.
What we handle.
Custom cabinetry
Hand-drawn millwork in white oak, walnut, painted maple, or a combination. Engineered drawer inserts, lift-out organizers, integrated charging stations, and soft-close on every door. Specified to the SKU and elevation.
Stone
Slabs hand-picked at the yard, not chosen from a sample. We carry the specification through the fabricator and supervise the install. Taj Mahal, Calacatta, Silestone Eternal Statuario, and other coastal-light-friendly stones are typical selections.
Appliances
Brand-agnostic specification against the layout. We size the layout to the appliance package, not the other way around. Viking, Wolf, Sub-Zero, Thermador, Miele.
Layered lighting
Ambient, task, and accent lighting drawn before drywall. Under-cabinet LED, integrated interior cabinet lighting, layered ceiling plan, hand-selected pendants from Visual Comfort, Apparatus, and Allied Maker.

How long does a kitchen remodel take?
Most custom kitchens run ten to sixteen weeks from demolition to final inspection. Cabinetry lead times drive the schedule. Our Carlsbad Modern Kitchen project was delivered in twelve weeks start to finish.
Do you specify cabinetry, appliances, and stone, or do clients source them?
We specify every selection to the manufacturer SKU during the Design Phase. It's what allows us to write a Construction Contract against a real number instead of a sketch. Clients bring inspiration, preferences, and references; we translate them into a specification the build can execute against.
What's the typical scope of a kitchen project?
Cabinetry, stone, appliances, lighting, plumbing fixtures, hardware, tile, paint, and any layout reconfiguration. We also handle adjacent millwork: butler's pantries, beverage stations, mudrooms, and integrated cabinetry runs that share infrastructure with the kitchen.
Can a kitchen be remodeled as a standalone project?
Yes. Kitchens are one of the few rooms we take on as standalone scopes, when the rest of the house is already in good shape. More often, kitchens travel with whole-home remodels, additions, or primary suite renovations.
Do you handle structural changes inside a kitchen?
Yes. Removing load-bearing walls, opening sightlines to adjacent rooms, and adding structural beams are all common in kitchen projects. The structural strategy is worked out during the Design Phase, before the construction bid is set.
What appliance brands do you typically specify?
We're brand-agnostic. The right appliance package depends on the layout, the cooking pattern, and the budget. Viking, Wolf, Sub-Zero, Thermador, and Miele come up most frequently. We size the cabinetry to the appliances, not the other way around.
